Tabriz is an ancient city in northwestern Iran and is the most prolific of all carpet centres. Their quality is exceptional, showing the incredible skill of Persian craftsmanship. The makers of these rugs take such pride in their work that they often weave their signature into the carpet's border. "Mahi" is a Farsi word for an
