but with heavy/unprofessional period repair to catch and additionally center crudely secured from the reverse

and nine o’clock arms bearing a gilt inscription of “POUR LE MÉRITE” with scored lettering

Latvia, Republic. An Order of the Three Stars, II Class Grand Officer, by Muller Republic of engraved and dated "1941"(Triju Zvaigu ordenis). Instituted in 1924. The badge of the order, in silver gilt, a white enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents three gilt stars on a blue enamel field, encircled by a decorative gilt ring, the reverse medallion inscribed PER ASPERA AS ASTRA LATVIJAS REPUBLIKA 1918 G 18 VOEMBRIS, surmounted by a wreath suspension, marked with silver fineness mark 875, FM maker mark
