Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, symbolizing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger, respectively, topped by a date of 1940, an inscription of NARVIK, and a German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, the reverse with all four attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 42. 27 mm (w) x 90. 95 mm (h), weighing 19. 7 grams, missing its backplate
