A bronze Latin cross with a laurel wreath between the arms of the cross; the obverse depicting the leftward facing bust of Friedrich, circumscribed by his name and title; the arms of the cross depict the Saxon crown, as well as the date 1915; the reverse is inscribed with the crowned royal monogram of Friedrich August; the arms inscribed WELTKRIEG (German World War); on a double loop for suspension from its
