Austria, Imperial. An Honour Decoration Of The Red Cross, Officer’s Cross With Stone Center Auction made of silvered zinc(Ehrenzeichen vom Roten Kreuz). Instituted in 1923. Multipiece construction, in silver featuring a red, white and green enamelled cross, a green enamel wreath sits atop the arms, the center medallion has been replaced with a large red synthetic stone, reverse with two J prongs, marked with G. A. S denoting Scheid manufacture, marked 900 for silver fineness, the 3 and 9 oclock arms are engraved 186 and 914 respectively, engravings showing wear around
