Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and raised in a household steeped in neo soul, BLK began channeling his voice through music after the unjust killing of his older brother by police at age 12. That life altering loss and the experience of growing up Black and male in 21st century America fuels his raw, layered storytelling. His debut
