Germany, Weimar Republic. A Rare Fire Brigade Honour Cross, II Class, c. 1930 Republic of (Ärmelbinde)(Deutsches Feuerwehr Ehrenkreuz II. Klasse). Instituted 3 November 1928. (1929 1936 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by stylized flames, the obverse overlaid by a central black enameled medallion bearing a Saint Florian (patron saint of firefighters), situated within a ribbed ring, the reverse overlaid by a central Weimar style German national eagle, situated
