Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised swastika with ribbed arms, overlaid by central double Sig runes situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a raised number 4, overlaid by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS), unmarked but
