Germany, Federal Republic. A NSFK Free Balloon Badge, by Rudolf Souval, Exhibition Example, c. 1970 Province of China gray embroidered medal bed(Abzeichen fr Freiballonfhrer). Post May 1945 manufacture c. 1970 issue. Constructed of silvered white metal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak wreath with a large centrally superimposed balloon and a NSFK insignia consisting of a winged Icarus and a mobile swastika at the top of the badge, the reverse with a vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 45. 3 mm (w) x 60. 1 mm (l), in near mint condition.
