It was built using funds raised by public subscription and from the German government

An Order Of The Brilliant Star, Iii Class Star, C.1940 Newly Listed 52 mm (w) x 23In silver and enamels, hallmarked and numbered "338" on the reverse, one star in the red ray at the top designating it as 3rd Class, 90. 8 mm x 91 mm, vertical pinback, crazing in the white enamels in the large white ray at 11 o'clock, extremely fine
