The Bottle Size:Large: 7 x 5in Beneath this is a view'The Bottle', 1847; showing an interior domestic scene with the family possessions being repossessed as a result of money being squandered on alcohol. Ironically, the mother and father are sitting in front of the fire consolling themselves with a bottle of alcohol while the children are anxiously watching the family possessions being removed.
