Constructed of silver with enamels, the obverse depicting a raised helmet with an inscription of DER STAHLHELM alongside an Iron Cross, on a black enameled disk bearing silver oak leaves and a date of 1931, the reverse with a crimped hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked with a silver content number of 935 and the logo of maker Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30. 64
