On the reverse, he also dedicated it to the collector, Hans Dieter Doden (?), and dated it to August 25, 1992. Footnote: Anton Wehinger (19212012) received the Knights Cross as Senior Lieutenant of the Reserve on January 9, 1945 while leading the 1st Battalion of Grenadier Regiment 578. After the war, he went back to working in his learned trade as a forester.
