The buckle is constructed of aluminum; the obverse illustrates the standard RAD upward facing shovel insignia on the obverse, with a swastika (Hakenkreuz) in the centre of the spade, and surrounded b a wreath of wheat sheaves, measuring 47 mm in diameter; marked with the logo of F. W. Assmann, DRGM and 38 on the reverse. The brocade dress belt is constructed of fine aluminum wire embroidery with
