A Large Case for a German Cross in Gold, Variation V consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac the obverse bearing an inscription(Ein Etui fr ein Deutsches Kreuz in Gold). Constructed of a light wooden core with a textured black faux leather exterior liner, the lid is embossed around the exterior of the case with a golden stripe indicating that a German Cross in Gold was once housed here, the paper hinge is severed, the interior with a silvery white rayon liner on the lid with an intact fabric hinge cover, a felted medal bed with a cut out for a vertical pinback, unmarked,
