Japanese Orange Lacquer Nesting Box with Gold Cranes gilded box which has kept it perfectlyThis lovely round Japanese lacquer box, c. 1920s, is the most perfect warm shade of orange, and features a design of three cranes on top rendered in gold, black and silver, in very slight relief. Inside are five lacquer bowls of diminishing size, one inside the next. A very elegant piece that would hold its own amid any collection of beautiful boxes. 3 1 4" in diameter and 2 5 8" tall. It is in very good condition, with a few small scratches to the
