Coatlicue Mother Goddess Figurine Altars There is a subtle butCoatlicue is the Aztec goddess of childbirth and fertility. She was also the goddess of earth, both as it's creator and destroyer. The dualism is symbolised by her appearance: her face consists of two serpents and her fingers and toes are claws. She wear a skirt of intertwined snakes and a necklace of hands, hearts and a skull from where she feeds on everything that dies.
