Germany, Hj. A Winter Service Cap Archive (Deutscher Schützenverband =DSchV): Gold(HJ Wintermtze). An extremely well preserved HJ winter service cap, constructed of thick dark navy blue wool. It is fully surrounded by fold down side panels, scalloped at the front, offering optional ear and neck protection to the wearer. When not in use, the panels are rolled up and secured in place at the front with a silvered bronze buckle and sliding wool knot. The former is marked on the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) number and maker
